Dr. des. Dana von Suffrin

Profile

Dana von Suffrin is a postdoctoral researcher at the DFG research group „Cooperation and Competition in the Sciences“ at the department for History of Science, Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. In 2017, Dana completed her PhD thesis on science and ideology in early Zionism. During her stay as Visiting Scholar in the GMPG Research Program, Dana Suffrin will be working on HUGO, the Human Genome Organization, founded in 1988. HUGO’s main mission was the coordination of the Human Genome Project. By analyzing the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG)’s participation in HUGO, she hopes to gain insights about the dynamics of international scientific cooperation.
